[RISOLTO] Aggiornare PHP

Ciao a tutti 
 
Ieri avevo un problema poi risolto.
Durante la discussione $Red mi ha suggerito di usare
Akeeba Backup. Oggi ho provato ad installarlo ma
ricevo un messaggio che dice che la Versione del PHP
è vecchia.
 
Sono su altervista, sapete se è possibile aggiornare PHP
ad una versione più recente ?

te l'ho chiesto perche altervista per attivare la versione php 5.3 se non è attivo di default aggiunge un codice sul file .htaccess e joomla ha un suo file .htaccess che però nel pacchetto di installazione è rinominato in htaccess.txt, per attivarlo di solito si fa dal pannello di controllo altervista altersito/impostazioni php c'è un menu a tendina per la scelta della versione, per far funzionare il seo di joomla correttamente però il file htaccess.txt di joomla va rinominato in .htaccess e su altervista, e anche su altri hosting vanno effettuate anche 2 modifiche cioè

• La riga Options +FollowSymLinks deve essere commentata con # e diventa #Options +FollowSymLinks
• La riga #RewriteBase / deve essere decommentata e diventa RewriteBase /

spiegato come funziona ti rendo tutto piu semplice, accedi al pannello di controllo altervista vai a gestione file e clicca in alto sul logo php 5 al tab Modifica sorgente .htaccess (Avanzato) inserisci questo codice che ha già le modifiche e il codice per il php 5.3 di altervista

adesso puoi installare akeeba e tutte le estensioni che richiedono php 5.3, puoi anche attivare le opzioni SEO di joomla senza avere errori, spero di non averti annoiato ma darti solo il codice senza spiegarti il perche non ti avrebbe aiutato a capire

Solo una domanda:
 
Prima di andare in pannello di controllo di altervista ecc.,
devo rinominare il file htaccess.txt via ftp ?
 
Ho già provato ha fare come mi hai detto ma siccome
dopo aver premuto "modifica" si apre una finestrella
dove inserire percorso e nome del file e un Pulsante "Cambia"
Dopo quello che mi è successo adesso ho paura di sbagliare.

sei lo hai già rinominato in .htaccess tramite ftp puoi farci le modifiche andando al tab Modifica sorgente .htaccess (Avanzato) come ti ho scritto sopra, fai le 2 modifiche e aggiungi in fondo il codice del php 5.3 di altervista
