Non mi da aggiornamento a joomla 3

Salve a tutti,
dopo aver combinato diversi danni sul sito sono riuscito a sistemare solo che adesso, malgrado segua la guida per il passaggio da joomla 2.5 a joomla 3 alla fine mi dice che non ci sono aggiornamenti disponibili.
Il sito è in remoto e i parametri tipo versione php ed altro sono tutti nella versione superiore a quelli richiesti.
Naturalmente ho impostato gli aggiornamenti su rilasci a breve termine
Qualcuno sa darmi una spiegazione?

P.S. nel fare il passaggio dalla versione 2.5.9 alla versione 2.5.28 mi è stato indicato in questo forum un file che poi si installa da Gestione aggiornamenti ed infatti sono riuscito a fare quel passaggio; magari esiste qualcosa di simile per il passaggio alla versione Joomla 3.3.6 ...

Scusa la mia ignoranza ma il file indicato se non ho capito male aggiorna da una qualsiasi versione di Joomla 3 alla 3.3.6; io sono ancora alla versione 2.5.28, vale lo stesso?

Devo preoccuparmi o procedo ad installare la lingua?

Peraltro la schermata lato amministrazione è molto strana, con scritte sovrapposte; avevo avuto modo di vedere la schermata di Joomla 3 e non mi pare sia quella che mi ritrovo adesso; che fare?

Scaricato nuovamente il pacchetto su tmp e provata nuova installazione, risultato adesso non mi si installa più neppure la lingua italiana ed il sito dal lato amministrazione appare più confusionario che mai con scritte che si accavallano e comandi che non rispondono ...

non dovevi installare nuovamente.
Cancella completamente la cache del tuo browser ed installa la lingua italiana.

Niente da fare, la lingua non si installa; domattina svuoto tutto e ricarico il sito così come era con la versione 2.5.28; mi sa che il file aggiorna solo da precedenti versioni 3 e non anche dalla 2.5.28

Alla fine ho risolto seguento la guida di questo sito; era solo un problema di template lato amministratore se si vedevano le scritte sovrapposte; grazie.
Adesso ho solo qualche piccolo problema con i template lato sito; ve ne sono alcuni che avevano delle immagini che in Joomla 3 non si vedono; vedrò di risolvere in qualche modo.
