Ho trovato!! copio e incollo il post dove ho trovato la soluzione per chi ne avesse bisogno in futuro..... se non si vedono i menu a tendina che vanno a finire sotto il testo degli articoli con Internet Explorer si risolve cosė (provato e funziona) il template che utilizzo č Jamba

Sorry Jonas, my page is not yet public... (I spent half a day fighting with Joomla transfer, with no success yet).
Nevertheless, I also ran into an IE7 difficulty and then I solved the swmenufree foolish drop down problem in a better way.
The recipe is:
1- do not tweak level 1 offset with negative value, leave them to 0 or adjust by some pixels depending on your border options
2-
modify nav.css line 14 to read position=static;
this will made sub menu to drop down where you can expect them and will also made things work under IE7 
(here sub menus were hiding behind the main page background 
)Scusate, a qualcuno č successo di avere i menu a tendina che scompaiono sotto al testo della homepage solo in Internet Explorer ? lo stesso sito su Firefox funziona regolarmente i sottomenu compaiono sopra la home page.... utilizzo js_Jamba come template e il menu SWmenufree l'ho sistemato come posizione in "Top". Mi era capitato in precedenza ma il problema era legato al fatto che utilizzavo un SWF e i sotto menu finivano dietro. Al tempo avevo risolto modificando alcuni tag del SWF
(Aggiungere il parametro seguente al tag OBJECT:
<param name="wmode" value="transparent">
Aggiungere il parametro seguente al tag EMBED:
wmode="transparent"
adesso in homepage ho un semplice articolo....eppure i menu su internet explorer finiscono dietro 
spero che qualcuno mi possa aiutare
