Buongiorno dopo giorni e giorni di lettura non riesco a venirne a capo quindi mi rivolgo a voi:
sto provando a installare la 3.0 beta per vedere cosa cambia e cosa offre in modo diretto.
Ho il problema sul controllo
Magic Quotes GPC NO
ho cambiato il .htaccess in 1000 modi ma continuo ad avere il problema, cosi' mi sono venuti due dubbi:
1) il mio provider (non faccio nomi perche' non e' free) non mi supporta ancora
2) sbaglio la sintassi del file.
Potreste darmi un aiutino???

per impostare le Magic Quotes GPC su OFF dovresti poter intervenire sul php.ini del server,
alcuni hosting permettono di impostare i parametri del php.ini dal loro pannello di controllo, oppure puoi alcuni supportano l'inserimento di un file di nome php.ini con all'interno la riga:
magic_quotes_gpc = Off
prova a crearlo con un editor di testi ed inserirlo nella cartella dove hai caricato Joomla.
Altrimenti devi rivolgerti al supporto del tuo hosting

Alla fine il provider č stato cosi' cortese da farmi il cambiamento e sono riuscito ad arrivare sino al passo 3... ora mi sono "incagliato" su un errore al passo 3:

in questo articolo trovi le informazioni su come capire se il database del tuo hosting supporta Mysql 5.1 con InnoDB.

Niente, ho provato anch'io a creare il file php.ini nella root dove ho installato joomla pero non funziona
Sul file php.ini ho sritto:
magic_quotes_gpc=off
E giusto??
Come devo fare??

Ho risolto cosė:Create php.ini file with the following lines.
magic_quotes_gpc = Off
session.save_path = "/tmp"
Il file php.ini va inserito nella cartella Installation!!!
