Non riesco a fa funzionare il seo su aruba, ho trovato in mare di consigli su come modificare il file htaccess ma non mi sono servite ( apparentemente ) a niente
di seguito il listato del mio:

Apri un ticket sul tuo hosting e chiedi aiuto, forse non dipende da te.
Senti con loro cosa ti dicono.
Poi fammi sapere.
Cosa fa per non andare? Che errore ti da?

il classico errore 500 del server

la informo che il file htaccess può contenere solamente le direttive elencate nel seguente link:
http://vademecum.aruba.it/start/linux/htaccess.asp
direttive diverse daranno un Internal Server Error

se non riuscite a visualizzare il link provate con questo: http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0/mod/core.html

a me va su alcuni siti sui loro server

devo mettere solo questo o sostituire le righe ?

prova con solo questo, se vuoi il seo base di joomla, se invece vuoi usare dei componenti aggiuntivi (tipo sh404 o artio o etc) devrai aggiungere altre parti, comunque con solo questo il seo base di joomla dovrebbe andare facendo scomparire l'errore 500 (creati una copia del tipo htacess ovviamente prima ;) )

hai provato dal pannello di controllo del tuo sito (non dall'admin di joomla) di ripristinare i permessi su tutti i file e le cartelle (è una procedura automatica) che spesso risolve il problema 500 su questo provider

dopo aver fatto le modifiche seguenti:
rinominato in locale il file htaccess.txt in .htaccess
caricato sul server remoto
modificato inserendo solo le seguenti righe:

Attivato da pannello di controllo di joomla la funzione SEO
tutto sembra funzionare, è sparito l'errore del server !!
faccio alcune prove e poi vi faccio sapere

A volte certi server si impallano, lanci la funzione per gli errori interni che ripristina i permessi e tutto riprende a funzionare.
Cmq vedrai che ora funzia

Si tutto funziona, ho installato anche artio vers. 2 e tutto va bene, solo un piccolo problemma, ho un redirect che punta alla url del sito e quando si accede con quello i titoli delle pagine non si vedono, appare sempre e solo url originale, qualche consiglio ?

Ragazzi io ho un problema un po diverso..
Dopo esser riuscito ad attivare il seo del core di joomla volevo e vorrei attivare artio joomsef, solo che con l'htaccess che allego, il server quando clicco su uno dei qualsiasi link mi va in errore 404 cioè non trova la pagina.
Cosa c'è di sbagliato?
E' dovuto dal mio server? e se è così cosa devo dire di modificare?

"occorre però rinominare il file htaccess.txt (che viene copiato nella root del vostro sito) in .htaccess, per poter effettuare la riscrittura delle URL.
L'unico problemino che ho riscontrato con il gestore delle URL di Joomla 1.5 è che, se il sito non è nella radice del dominio stesso (come ad esempio nel mio caso, sono su ****** e tutto sta nella cartella /hdocs), occorre abilitare il parametro "RewriteBase /". Nessun problema comunqe, è già presente nel file .htaccess e basta eliminare il segno # che lo commenta."
