ora ho 2 problemi fondamentali:
1)anche se nel css ho inserito il margin top pari a 0

}la tabella ha un bel margine superiore (cosa che non succede con altri template ricavati da questo e con lo stesso css;
2)lì dove vengono richiamate le posizioni orizz2 e orizz3 (realizzate con i div in modo da affiancare i moduli da inserire), il modulo caricato in orizz2 viene mandato accapo.
Vi prego aiutatemi che davvero non so più cosa fare. Non posso pubblicare un sito per via di questi 2 problemi (e è tanto che ci sto sbattendo la testa) :'(

Sto guardando il tuo index.php in locale.....
A parte che non capisco questi div nell'index.... piuttosto sono da inserire nel template_css.css

alla riga 92 e 94
Il margin-top: 0px non ti serve a nulla, nel senso che si riferisce al body di tutto il sito e non alla tabella corrispondente.
Inoltre c'è un errore nella index:

</span></div></td>In questa parte di codice apri uno span con un padding left e right a 0 pixel, ma non contiene niente.... che ti serve?
Comunque un link sarebbe utile per vedere tutto on-line, forse c'è qualcosa nel tuo css che non va..... mettilo in una directory che non vede nessuno e lo vediamo.

il problema con i div è presente in ogni pagina (e riguarda la marra blu di login), mentre il problema con il margine è presente in tutte le pagine, tranne la home e il forum.

da una prima visuale pare che sia la tua barra laterale colorata.
In effetti da IE7 a Firefox 3.0 la visione è diversa, in firefox lo spazio in alto è molto ridotto rispetto a IE7.
Prova ad eliminare quelal barra azzurra, che tra l'altro in Firefox non si vede nemmeno.

intendi di togliere la colorazione?

si tanto la visualizzi solo in IE..... Firefox non la visualizza...... e nel suo css potrebbe contenere qualcosa che va in conflitto con il tuo template
