Ho installato JoomlaPack 2.4.1-core e nel manuale ho letto come configurare bene i vari parametri.
Mi dice che è tutto ok e fa i backup.
Una cosa però non la trovo: dovrebbe esseri in BASIC TAB OPTION la scelta tra i 3 tipi di backup possibili (invece questa scelta non ce l'ho, posso solo cliccare su BACKUP):

1-Full site which backs up the Joomla! database, any extra databases you might have defined and all of the site's files.
         
2-Database only which backs up only the Joomla! database. It results in a single SQL file which can be used with any MySQL administration utility (e.g. phpMyAdmin) to restore only your database should disaster strike. This option is recommended for advanced users only.
     
3-All databases, no files which creates an archive file containing SQL files with dumps of your main site's database and all the defined multiple databases. The database dumps can be restored by either any MySQL administration tool (for example phpMyAdmin) or by JoomlaPack itself.

Allora, componenti->JoomlaPack->Configuration->Basic->

1)OUTPUT DIRECTORY (con casella della dir in current setting+tasto RESET TO DEFAULT+tasto BROWSE)
2)mininum access level con casella per scelta (Super administrator)
3)store temporary backup data in files, instead of in database (con pulsanti NO-SI)
Basta.

Poi c’è la task FRONTED, e Profile Settings->Basic
1)   Archive name Template (con casella corrent settings)
2)   Log Level (all information and Debug)
Poi c’è ADVANCED e MAGIC NUMBERS

dal menu principale:

componenti-> joomlapack -> configurazione -> Impostazioni del profilo -> Impostazioni di base-> Tipo di backup

E' una bella stranezza.
Ma tu hai la versione italiana o è un file di lingua poi unito allo JoomlaPack base?

ho semplicemente scaricato e installato come una normale estensione questo pacchetto

c'è già la traduzione inclusa  ;)
