I'm sorry, the problem was quite simple:
the photos.googleapis.com script was blocked by my browser  
(I had unblocked it previously, but for some reason, just temporarily)
It works now.

yes, the albums are public

and it worked already one time, but for some reason it stopped working, i have the feeling it is some kind of jquery issue
(I also tried using jQuery Easy Plugin but no change (dont know if i used the right settings..))

Hello,
when using nano gallery I get following error message in frontend and the pictures won't show up....

nanoGALLERY: error on hover this.$elt is null [nanoGallery]
nanoGALLERY: error on hoverOut this.$elt is null [nanoGallery]
nanoGALLERY: Could not retrieve Picasa/Google+ data... [nanoGallery]

in the backend (menu manager -> the menuitem of the gallery) under Album List there is also an error message shown:

Could not retrieve Picasa/Google+ data (jQuery): error, [Exception... "<no message>"  nsresult: "0x805e0006 (<unknown>)" location: "JS frame :: http://localhost/media/jui/js/jquery.min.js :: .send :: line 4"  data: no]

Can somebody help please with this?
