Joomla! 1.5 / Internal Server Error - 500

Salve a tutti. Stavo agiornando il mio sito e di colpo, senza che io tocassi nulla, quando ho provato aad accedere al pannello di controllo amministratore, il sstema mi risponde così:
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, postmaster@xxxxxx.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Ho provato a togliere # dal tag RewriteBase/ ma continua a non andare.
i files index.php, administrator/index.oho e index2.php hanno chmod 755.
ma comunque non va....
Qualcuno sa dirmi qualcosa?
