Problemi con Display errors =On durante l'installazione

salve, sto installando joomla 1.5 con xampp .
Durante l'installazione joomla rileva che ho display errors =On e quando termino l'installazione ottengo una serie di errori del tipo:

Il bello è che ho modificato il file php.ini impostando display_errors=off.

non capisco il perchè. c'è qualcuno che mi aiuti?

devi usare Xampp 1.7.1.

Ho installato xampp 1.7.1 e ho risolto il precedente problema di display_errors=On.
Adesso però durante l'installazione mi dice che non esiste il supporto al database mysql e quindi non posso anadare avanti con l'installazione.

Io ho installato HeidiSql e il db mysql lo vede! Sembra che all'installazione di Joomla manca l'adapter per mysql come faccio?
