Errore connessione DB in fase aggiornamento

Ciao ragazzi , ho installato MAMP (mac apache mysql php) , e devo installare joomla su locale.
Al passo in cui devo inserire le credenziali per la connessione al DB mi da il segente errore:

quali credenziali inserisci? root / root, giusto? Aprendo la homepage di MAMP è tutto ok?

MAMP tutto ok (lo stesso mi succede se provo ad usare easyphp su windows) , come parametri metto:


host: localhost
utente: root
password: root


Ho provato anche a cambiare versione di php ma niente!

ok ragazzi scusate , il problema era che usavo la versione 1.5 che ho trovato sul sito della mia università , adesso con la 2.5 tutto ok
