htaccess, aruba e sottodirectory

Ciao,
premetto che ho provato a cercare nel  forum ma non ho trovato nulla  a riguardo.
Ho il mio .htaccess messo su aruba che sembra funzionare...nel senso che mi permette dui usare url friendly ecc.
Il problema è che il sito e sistemato in una sub chiamata joomla per cui se chiamo il sito www.psicoterapiabrescia.it mi esce "pagina in costruzione". se invece scrivo [size=78%]www.psicoterapiabrescia.it/joomla mi va correttamente.[/size]
[size=78%]Se disabilito url friendly e metto il file originale di aruba funziona invece tutto partendo dal sito base.[/size]

qualcuno riesce a caprire (o a farmi capire!) dove sbaglio ?

ma il .htaccess ce l'hai fisicamente sulla root o sotto joomla ?

fisicamente nella root...non dirmi che devo inserirlo nella sub......

In soldoni, vorrei prima capire cosa vuoi ottenere     vuoi che puntando la digitazione alla root il sito ti vada rediretto alla sotto "joomla" ?

No, quello non è un problema, il problema reale è che se modifico htaccess per far funzionare le friendly url, il sito non punta più alla sub joomla. Purtroppo ho ereditato questo sito per cui non è come gli altri che ho fatto dove non ho problemi.

Allora è come un problema che avevo io. Non so se parliamo dello stesso sgaragnao provider  ma nel mio il .htaccess l'ho messo sotto la direttory (joomla nel tuo caso) e non sulla root. Poi il  Rewritebase /  l'avevo commentato.  Così il sito mi funzionava con i SEF
