Help: Ozio Imagin Skin

Hello, I cant write in Italian so I hope english is ok.
I just istalled the Ozio Gallery2 and Im impressed, but I have a few questions..
Ive tried modifying the _preferences.xml document, but nothing happens, am I missing a step?
And I want to know how to put a thumbnail on the category, right now there is only a blue square..

Crea un file dal nome _thumb.jpg all'interno delle cartelle delle categorie, questo file rappresenta l'anteprima della categoria. Le dimensioni consigliate per l'immagine di anteprima sono 128x128 pixel.

Now Im still wondering about the modifications in the _preferences.xml file.. such as color_background etc.
